TPO is a type of single-ply roofing membrane. TPO is a acronym that stands for Thermoplastic Polyolefin. It is an abbreviated way of stating the primary chemical composition of the roof membrane.
There are two primary categories within the single-ply roofing industry as defined by the NRCA. There are thermoplastic and thermoses membranes. TPO falls in the thermoplastic category.

Anyone who has doubts whether a white roof coating makes a difference should have been in our building on a 100-degree summer day.
