Restoring A Metal Roof in Twin Falls, Idaho with Conklin Roof Coatings!

Earlier this year while getting an estimate for repairing one of our vehicles, I asked Jarod Povey,  one of the owners of Addison Collision Repair in Twin Falls, Idaho if they were having any leak issues with their metal roofs on their commercial buildings.
He said, “Yes… as a matter of fact we are” and wondered if I had a solution for them.
I told him I did, and shared with him how we waterproof roofs with Conklin’s Metal Roof Restoration System. (See the steps of the system below)
They requested a bid for waterproofing all five of their commercial buildings, but in the end they had us start by doing two this year with the plan of finishing the other three next year.
The two roofs we waterproofed came to a total of 19,217 sq. ft.
After installing Conklin’s Metal Roof Restoration System using PUMA XL top coat they are now 100% waterproof, 85% reflective, and warrantied for 18 years non pro-rated. Our team was also able to restore their metal roof without disrupting his repair shop business!

Conklin Metal Roof Restoration Systems:

Step One:

Prep the roof by Power-washing the roof by using Conklin’s Rust Off Cleaner to clean and treat any rust that may be present. Rust Off not only cleans but neutralizes any rust that is on the metal roof. Once clean we check all screws or nails to make sure they are tight or replace any loose screws.

 Step Two:

Next we caulk ALL the screws/nails to insure they won’t leak! The Conklin Caulk acts like an adhesive and actually helps in securing the screws/nails don’t back out. Then we reinforce the seams by spraying Conklin base coat and embedding a polyester fabric in the coatings to add strength to the seams.

Step Three:

The final process is to apply the white top coat. We spray the entire roof with Conklin’s White Elastomeric Roof Coatings. Conklin’s Puma XL is the coating used on this metal roof. Picture of finished roof is the one at the top of this page.

Once we are done, you have a seamless self adhered rubber roof that will protect your roof for years to come!
